A big wave of heart breaks, disappointments and disassociation is being expressed by Pakistani netizens after star player Babar Azam was sent back to pavillion by Hardik Pandya after making 23 runs off 26 balls.

Pakistan lost their main man just when they looked stable after the side opened the innings in the must-win match against arch-rivals. The Men in Green won the toss and opted to bat first in the high-octane Champions Trophy 2025 match, being played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

A concerned fan reacted to his fall and said: “What have you done”.

However, not all fans were so supportive towards Babar as some criticised the star batter for failing to perform on the big stage with one user saying that his brief performance should be considered sufficient in itself.
