After quitting their royal life, Harry and Meghan gave a bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that shocked the royal family. In the interview, Meghan and Harry accused the royal family of many things, including racism, though they didn’t take names. The interview was shocking to the world as well, as it was the first time Harry and Meghan had publicly spoken up against the British monarchy. Two days after the interview, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II denying the couple’s accusations about racisms. The Queen had further said that “some recollections may vary”, which was a subtle hint at her disagreement to their their version of reality.
