False claims of Pakistan-Iran border shutdown are part of a coordinated disinformation campaign – SUCH TV

Certain anti-Pakistan Afghan linked and Indian social media accounts are actively spreading baseless propaganda regarding Pakistan-Iran border closures. This deliberate misreporting is aimed at creating confusion and undermining Pakistan’s diplomatic posture in the region.

False claims of Pakistan-Iran border shutdown are part of a coordinated disinformation campaign; the border remains operational with routine movement continuing.

Due to current security situation in Iran, the movement of goods has dropped. Similarly, Zairean movement from Pakistan to Iran is not taking place. Some Zairean and other visitors to Iran are returning to Pakistan. There is no abnormal activity at border.

Islamabad remains committed to peaceful regional engagement; decisions are based on security assessments, not foreign pressure or sectarian narratives.

Responsible reporting and verification are essential, amplifying falsehoods only serves hostile agendas and disrupts regional stability.
