CHENNAI: Japanese iPhone component maker Murata Manufacturing has started test production in India and is exploring to shift certain part of its production here to cater to the growing demand in the country.
“This will gain experience in factory operations in India, and prepare for future manufacturing activities in the country,” the company said. It aims to start full-scale operation in FY26.
Murata plans $6.6 million investments for five-year lease to test long-term demand, a report said.
