MUMBAI: Adani Wilmar (AWL) will leverage the strong distribution network of its core edible oils business to expand the growth of its broader consumer goods portfolio, following Adani Group’s exit from the staples business, sources said. “Just as ITC used its strong cigarette business to expand into FMCG, AWL is set to use its dominant edible oil business as a foundation for FMCG growth,” sources added. AWL owns the Fortune sunflower oil and Kohinoor basmati rice brands.
